Instalasi & Setting Sistem Operasi Linux Debian

1. Boot dari DVD Linux Debian, pilih Install
2. Choose language = English
3. Choose Country, territory or area = United State
4. Keyboard Layout = American English
5. Network configuration = DHCP ini untuk eth0
6. Host name : nama komputer (contoh: komputer-01)
7. Domain name : tkjsmkn1.sch.id
8. Pembagian Partisi Harddisk:
9. Pada pembagian partisi harddisk, pilih manual, diasumsikan menggunakan harddisk 80 GB, dengan pembagian sebagai berikut:

• /dev/sda1 : / 20 GB ext3 journaling files system, partisi root untuk system linux
• /dev/sda5 : /cache 20 GB reiserfs journaling files system, untuk proxy
• /dev/sda6 : /home 15 GB ext2 files system, untuk data user
• /dev/sda7 : swap 2 GB swap area, sebagai virtual memory
• /dev/sda8 : /var  10 GB ext2 files system, sebagai variabel data

 Untuk partisi root typenya primary dan 4 partisi yang lainnya typenya logical. 

1. Write change to disk = yes
2. Scan another DVD = no
3. Choose time zone = Eastern
4. Root password = tkj, confirm password = tkj
5. Reenter password to verify = tkj
6. Full name for new user = tkj smkn1 rantepao
7. User name for your account = tkj
8. Choose a password for the new user = tkj
9. Reenter password to verify = tkj
10. Use a network mirror? = no
11. Participate in the package usage survey? = no
12. Software selection: secara default/otomatis yang terpilih:

• Desktop Environment
• Standard System   

 Pilih Continue tekan enter

1. Install the GRUB boot loader to the master boot record? = yes
2. Finish the Instalation = Continue
3. Keluarkan DVD Debian dan Linux akan merestart komputer.
